HARP follows a trimester schedule in sync with the Hartford School District’s academic calendar. In the school year, classes run from 8 AM to 2 PM on Mondays through Fridays. HARP looks at each individual student’s goal and objectives and tries to find similarities in groupings in the social sense in order to create a cohesive learning environment. Part of the beauty of being a small program is our capability to engineer an individualized program for each student.

 

Yet, HARP also looks at education as a whole by focusing on the makeup of our students and structuring our teaching based on the different development groupings of our students. In addition, HARP constantly evaluates the student’s progress - both on a weekly basis and at the end of each trimester. By reviewing the data for each student, the team decides regularly on how best to structure classes and the group environment for each individual to optimize their learning input.
